Yes. Through the Foreign Medical Program (FMP), the VA covers care for service-connected conditions even while you’re outside the U.S. VCI helps streamline this process so you can access care abroad with ease.

There is no cost for the medical appointments or accommodation, as these are covered by VCI. You are only responsible for your round-trip airfare from the United States, your lunches, personal expenses, and any gifts you may wish to purchase.
No. Participating in the tour or receiving care in the Dominican Republic does not affect your VA benefits in the United States. You can still access all your stateside benefits as usual.
As many times as you need, as long as there’s availability in our agenda. That’s why it’s very important that you check with a team member before purchasing your tickets to confirm there is space for your desired dates.
